A member of the public attended to discuss concerns over the damage to the grass verges at Broad Marston. It’s believed this has been caused by contractors during recent works/increase in traffic. The council are hopeful the contractors will ‘make good’ the verges and support the County Councillor in expediting this. The area is within a conservation area which should give more leverage to ensure repair of the verges by the contractors. District Councillor Report – Cllr Judith Ciotti (February 2026) The Council has approved recommendations to acquire the Riverside Shopping Centre, Town Hall and surrounding buildings in Evesham Market Square to enable regeneration of the conservation area. Consultation is open until March on the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) 2025, described as more pro-development, with parish councils encouraged to respond.
Local matters included correction of a developer error relating to drainage permissions at Vale Landscape Heritage Trust land in Cleeve Prior. Members were informed of the Business Breakfast on 25 March at Pershore Civic Centre and Wychavon’s support for mental health and wellbeing initiatives. An update was received that Sheenhill Solar Farm, Honeybourne, has paused development pending clarity on NESO grid connection reforms.
